Q&A's

In my time of working with clients in a clinical setting, I noticed there were many curiosities about the spiritual world, but also a lot of overwhelm too. So here is a page that is dedicated to clear the air (smudge stick not included).

It's also important to me that my clients are well informed about the differences between a clinical therapist and a coach.

For those of you who have utilized coaching previously, I hope to be a unique guide on your path to wellness.

And for clients that are deeply versed in the energetic world, I hope I can gift you with my own kind of light.

I meet everyone where they are at.

What is the difference between therapy and coaching?

The fundamental difference between therapy and coaching is that therapy helps people with clinical levels of need. Coaching helps people with non-clinical levels of need. In addition, coaching is more goal oriented and involves solving a specific problem or working towards a collaborative solution.

Typically a clinical level of need would be indicated by an official diagnosis. For example, there’s a difference between being worried about giving a speech at work and Generalized Anxiety Disorder.

In addition, as a guide and coach I am not limited to state lines. I am able to work with anyone, in any place! Especially now with Zoom.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy." A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you.

Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. We are seeking to balance you.

Now, reiki is used all over the world, including in hospitals and hospices, to complement other forms of health treatments. For more information you can go to:
